Available for the first time, Tricky – “The Dark Side” (1991) is released as an exclusive Strictly Limited Edition print. Photographed on location in Poplar, London in 1991, shortly after the filming of the “Safe from Harm” Massive Attack video, the image captures Tricky visiting the set whilst meeting Daddy G and exchanging records for DJing. At the close of the shoot, photographer Peter Anderson seized the moment to create this unforgettable portrait. The acid yellows and subtle blue hues, evoke a striking and spectral, somewhat hauntingly atmospheric portrait. A classic Peter Anderson portrait.

This rare early 90s portrait is reminiscent of Peter Andersons now legendary street photography – “Peter’s portraits give us license to stare and absorb, to identify with the spirit of the images, their power and attitude.
